Why Isn’t the Cable Car Included in the Dubrovnik Pass?
The answer is pretty simple, Dubrovnik Pass does not include the cable car because the cable car is privately operated . The rest of the museums and historic sites in Dubrovnik are owned and run by the government, and that’s the reason they are included in the Dubrovnik Pass.
Finally, we believe that Dubrovnik Pass is a good investment, even though it does not cover the expenses of the cable car.
Alternatives to the Cable Car
The cable car is not the only way to get to Srđ, but it’s the fastest and most convenient. If you want to experience the views from Srđ Hill without taking the cable car, here are some alternatives:
Hike to the Top – A 30-45 minute uphill hike provides a great and scenic way to reach the summit.
Drive or Take a Taxi – A scenic road allows access by car, with taxis available near the Old Town.
ATV or Jeep Safari Tours – Some adventure tours include a drive up to Mount Srđ with stops at scenic viewpoints.
Is the Cable Car Worth It?
We believe it is! We have taken the ride a few times and, although it’s a short ride, it’s a nice panoramic experience. Sunset from Srđ Hill is something we recommend you experience if visiting Dubrovnik.
