If you want to experience Dalmatian sunset from a different perspective then this kayaking tour is perfect for you. During the tour, we kayak along the most beautiful part of Makarska Riviera coast, between Drvenik and Živogošće. It’s full of secluded beaches and one of them will be our stop for swimming, snorkeling, and picnic. The tour is usually easy and relaxing, but it may happen that a wind will blow on a particular day thus making your tour a little bit harder. In that case, you’ll have a nice exercise and sleep like a baby on an upcoming night.
When designing our adventure tours we try to find the best spot which will provide the best possible experience. That’s how this Makarska Riviera kayaking tour was born. We chose the best part of the day too – afternoon and sunset. You’ll see that there is nothing better than to kayak and look at the fading sun hiding behind the horizon. Truly the scene to overwhelm your mind.
Makarska Riviera stretches from Brela to Gradac and, along with crystal clear sea, it’s full of other wonders too. We believe that the best way to explore the coastline of Makarska Riviera is by kayaking. You have the option to stop any time, to step on any beach you like, to jump out of the kayak any time you want to. That already sounds like a perfect experience. Add a crystal clear sea to it, dive beneath the surface, enjoy the views of Biokovo mountain and you have a dream vacation.
This kayaking tour covers only the small portion of Makarska Riviera but we believe it’s one of the most beautiful there is. Our main goal was to find a stretch of coastline that is far from inhabited places. It’s hard to avoid every place like that but on this tour, we managed to narrow it to only one – Zivogosce. Everything else is pure and mostly untouched nature. We kayak along many secluded beaches, we stop whenever we want to, we truly enjoy every second and end our tour in the sunset.
Please note that it’s not always possible to have a perfect sunset because the weather can be unpredictable. That’s why we always look at the weather forecast just to know what to expect during the kayaking tour. All this info is shared with you so you can decide if you want to reschedule or cancel the tour. But even the sunset not being present in its most beautiful form, this kayaking tour is an absolute experience of Makarska Riviera.
We start the kayaking tour at Vira beach, just a few kilometers away from Drvenik, Dalmatia. In case you are coming from Makarska as a lot of our guests do, you’ll need some 30 minutes to reach the Vira beach. Starting time varies according to sunset time but during July and August, we start at 18:00 (6 PM). Free parking space is available at the beach parking. Kayaks and all other equipment will be waiting for you on the beach. At the beginning, we’ll provide you with a refreshment in the form of a homemade juice and some local fruit.
We’ll proceed to have a short safety talk while you enjoy your drink and after it, we’ll embark on our Makarska Riviera kayaking adventure. We’ll kayak along the mostly uninhabited part of the coast, with many secluded beaches, some cool caves, and so on. We’ll stop for a picnic and swimming break at one of the secluded beaches. We always try to find an empty one but it may happen that sometimes we’ll have company on it.
We’ll provide you with snorkeling equipment so you can explore underwater wonders of Makarska Riviera. Once again we’ll sit in our kayaks and paddle toward the sunset finishing the tour just a few minutes after it. Tour ends at Zivogosce Duba where the transfer vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your cars. You can change the dry clothes here as well.
The price for the Makarska Riviera sunset kayaking adventure is 37 EUR for an adult person, 18 EUR for children from 6 to 12 years, and free of charge for children under the age of 6. Please see the links below for further info on the itinerary and what to bring on the tour.

You can book our tours via our contact form, Facebook page, or WhatsApp. These kinds of tours are subjected to weather conditions. We want to provide you with the best possible experience of every tour so if the weather is unfavorable we’ll cancel the tour and inform you about that. You’ll have an option to reschedule your tour or you’ll be given a full refund. We don’t have an office on any of our tour locations.
