but don't leave just yet...

Kayaking is a great way to experience Dalmatian sunset from a different perspective and this tour was our second most popular tour – right after the Baćina Lakes kayaking tour. During the tour, we used to kayak along the most beautiful part of the Makarska Riviera coast, between Drvenik and Živogošće. It’s full of secluded beaches and one of them was our stop for swimming, snorkeling, and picnics. The tour was easy and relaxing, but it might happen that the wind was blowing on a particular day thus making your tour a little bit harder. Either way, it was a fun tour at one of the best stretches of the Dalmatian coast.
When designing our adventure tours we always tried to find the best spot which will provide the best possible experience. That’s how this Makarska Riviera kayaking tour was born. We chose the best part of the day too – afternoon and sunset. You’ll see that there is nothing better than to kayak and look at the fading sun hiding behind the horizon. Truly the scene to overwhelm your mind. Although we don’t organize this kayaking tour anymore, we’ll recommend similar tours in the area.
Makarska Riviera stretches from Brela to Gradac and, along with crystal clear Adriatic sea, it’s full of other natural wonders too. We believe that the best way to explore the coastline of Makarska Riviera is by kayaking. There are many health benefits of kayaking and it really gives you flexibility when exploring from the sea. You have the option to stop any time, to step on any beach you like, to jump out of the kayak any time you want to. That already sounds like a perfect experience. Add a crystal clear Adriatic sea to it, dive beneath the surface, enjoy the views of Biokovo mountain and you have a dream vacation.
On the Makarska Riviera, you can experience many adventure tours, enjoy snorkeling in crystal-clear bays, or take a boat trip to nearby islands such as Hvar, Brač, or Vis.
Here’s our selection of the best activities on the Makarska Riviera.
A tour pretty similar to our Makarska Riviera kayaking tour. Explore Makarska and its coastline from a kayak perspective through this half-day kayaking tour along the stunning Dalmatian coastline. Kayak near landmarks like the St. Peter Lighthouse and visit some of the best beaches in the area, such as Nugal Beach. There is a break for snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. A great thing about this kayaking tour is the small-group experience with limited spots.
For a long time, we used to organize another kayaking tour in this area – the Makarska Riviera night kayaking tour. It was something different and out of this world. At that time, there was no tour similar to it. But now there is, there is a new night kayaking experience in Makarska, so if you want to experience something different, we suggest you try this Makarska night kayaking experience.
Biokovo Skywalk – one of the most famous places in Biokovo Nature Park. A stunning glass walkway that’s embedded on the edge of a cliff, 1,228 meters above sea level. This Tuk Tuk ride takes you straight to the Biokovo Skywalk, right into the heart of this magnificent mountain that Makes Makarska Riviera what it is today – one of the most unique landscapes in Croatia.
Similar to the Tuk Tuk tour mentioned earlier, but a bit more adventurous. We suggest booking this tour if you’re looking for a more adventurous way of exploring Biokovo Nature Park and enjoying perfect views all along the way.
A great idea for a day island hopping adventure from Makarska to nearby islands of southern Croatia. Speedboats of this kind are among the best ones in Croatia and tours like these are great choice if you want to visit some of the most famous locations on the nearby islands of Hvar, Brač, and Vis.
Omiš Via Ferrata is among the most popular Via Ferrata trails in Croatia. The city of Omiš is famous for its adventure tours and it’s often proclaimed as the adventure capital of Croatia. There are many great things to do in Omiš ranging from Via Ferrata trails, ziplines, rafting on Cetina River, and so on. If you are interested in this mix of hiking and rock climbing, check also the Čikola Via Ferrata located near the city of Drniš.
Omiš zipline was one of the first Croatian ziplines and it’s one of the most famous even today, after many other ziplines were built all across Croatia. This stunning adventure is composed of different cables of varying lengths and some of them traverse the Cetina River Canyon.
Finally, rafting on the Cetina River near Omiš is most popular rafting tour in Croatia, and the only rafting tour possible to do even in the summer months. Some other rivers popular for rafting in Croatia, such as the Zrmanja and Mrežnica rivers, lose a lot of water during the summer months so they switch to kayaking tours instead. Still a great adventure, if you ask us.
Makarska Riviera is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Croatia. That’s why we chose to organize this former kayaking tour right here. But there are many more things to do on Makarska Riviera and your vacation would be much better if you experience a few of these things.
Down below you can find a few articles we have written about Makarska Riviera which will help you discover some of its most beautiful parts. If you are staying in the Makarska area and you would like to experience more, we suggest you visit the nearby city of Omiš which is known as the area with some of the best adventure tours in Croatia.
