Hvar. The sunniest place in Croatia. The ultimate island. Croatia is a country of islands, and all of them are beautiful, but Hvar is one of the favorite island destinations for many travelers to Croatia. If you are looking to spend 4 days in Hvar, it will be enough to see and experience a lot. In this article, we are going to present you our idea of what your days on Hvar might look like. For each day, we will include the activity that would make your stay even better.
Hvar is the Mediterranean in its best form. It offers you a blend of relaxation, great activities, traditional villages, and perfectly clear sea. It’s not a large island, and 4 days will be enough to explore the best places as well as include a visit to some nearby attractions. We travel a lot to Hvar since we live just across it on the mainland and need just a short ferry ride to reach it. We fell in love with Hvar a long time ago, and it’s still a destination we look forward to returning to.
Ready to fall in love with Hvar? Let’s go!
Day 1: Get to Know Hvar Town
We are going to start our 4 days in Hvar with the exploration of Hvar Town, the single most famous location on the island. Make sure to take it easy, don’t rush, and leave enough time for just sitting in a local cafe and soaking up the atmosphere of this island.

Arrive and get to your accommodation in or near Hvar Town .
Enjoy the relaxed walk through the historic Old Town and explore landmarks like the Cathedral of St. Stephen and the main square (Pjaca) . Sit in a cafe and drink your favorite drink.

There is an old road that connects Hvar Town with Stari Grad, and it passes through old villages and lavender fields Hvar is very famous for. This road is a bit narrower, so drive carefully, but it will be worth it.

Kayaking is a great way of exploring the coastline, and it has many health benefits too. We have been kayaking guides in Croatia for 10 years, and it’s still one of our favorite activities that we enjoy very much.
You can either rent a kayak in Hvar or join a guided tour and do a bit of exploration on your own. Hvar is also full of smaller secluded beaches, we suggest you visit on this day.
